Google Scholar with IMI Access Links - www.scholar.google.com
Once on the Google Scholar site click 'Scholar Preferences' in the upper-right of your screen. Search 'Irish Management Institute' in the 'Find Library' section. Tick the box beside the two IMI results. Now when you search Google Scholar you will be provided the results as normal but with links to the full-text articles through the IMI Library. Your username and password are required to access the full-text.

Project Gutenberg offers over 36,000 free ebooks in a variety of formats. Most are not business or management related but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy them!
Harvard Business Review - www.hbr.org
HBR's official site is full of cutting-edge thinking particularly around management and leadership. Be sure to check out the blogs as the contributors and content are excellent.
Zanran - www.zanran.com
A search engine which finds data and statistics on the web. It's particularly powerful when searching for statistical images such as charts, graphs or tables.
Level Business - www.levelbusiness.com
A searchable database containing UK company accounts and directors information as it appears in Companies House.
Free Referencing Tools - The free referencing tools below will each help you to collect, organise, cite and manage your references. The IMI Library subscribes to RefWorks for your benefit but these offer different functionality which may suit your needs.
Mendeley - www.mendeley.com
Mendeley has some interesting features including 1Gb of free storage and a web app which allows it to run on mobile devices and iPads. It also runs on Windows, Mac or Linux.
Connotea - www.connotea.org
Connotea is aimed at reference sharing between group members. For example, if you find a useful article or author you can share it with other users. Also a group can create a shared bibliography.
Zotero - www.zotero.org
(requires Firefox browser 3.6 or higher)
Zotero installs as an add-on in your Firefox browser. It has a number of interesting features including saving notes beside references to help you throughout the research process. This is handy if you want to remember the keywords or context of a search which led you to a certain article.
Dropbox - www.dropbox.com
Dropbox allows users to store documents online and access them from anywhere with an internet connection. You'll never delete an assignment or forget it at home if you save a copy to Dropbox.
Irish Times Top 1000 Companies - www.top1000.ie/
This database contains the top 1000 companies in Ireland according to annual turnover. Users can search by company or sort by industry, view basic financial data, find the latest company news and much more. The data is regularly updated as well - all this data comes free of charge.
