The recent global downturn has highlighted the crucial importance of well-informed and innovative leadership. In this context the IMI Diploma in Leadership has several objectives. The aims of the programme are to:
Classroom modules will examine the inner psychology of leadership, including the nature of one-to-one and one-to-team relationships. The dynamics of power and influence will be investigated, as will the organisational and moral responsibilities of leadership. The challenges of leading in the contemporary environment will receive particular attention – examining the leader’s role in managing crises, shaping change and nurturing organisational morale.
The IMI Diploma in Leadership incorporates a number of innovative features. These include an emphasis on real-life leadership case studies and a series of question-and-answer sessions with senior Irish leadership figures. Each participant will also receive individual executive coaching and psychometric analysis of their leadership style. The programme incorporates a three-day intensive outdoor workshop in Connemara which will incorporate a demanding series of leadership exercises overseen by IMI executive coaches.
Successful participants will be awarded the IMI Diploma in Leadership.
