The programme will be supported by leading specialists selected for their expertise and international perspective from both the IMI and Henley Management College.

For the MBA programme you are required to have a minimum of three years’ managerial experience and a primary degree or equivalent experience.

Successful completion of the Henley Diploma in Management is also acceptable for entry to Stage 3 of the programme.

At the end of this programme you will:

• Understand the fundamental principles of management
• Have gained an insight into each function in the organisation and how each one links to the organisation’s strategy
• Be able to apply management tools and techniques to today’s business issues
• Be able to develop a strategic perspective on your organisation and the wider business environment
• Understand organisational change, the drivers and issues involved in its implementation
• Have developed skills needed for critical thinking in a complex global environment
• Be prepared for senior leadership positions
• Be able to make the right choices for yourself and your organisation.

The Henley MBA is divided into three stages:

Stage 1

Stage 1 consists of four modules:

• Dynamics of Management
• Managing People and Performance
• Managing Business Systems and Processes
• Managing Financial Resources

Stage 1 is assessed through three work-based assignments and a case study-based examination. This stage takes approximately 9 to 12 months to complete.

Stage 2

Stage 2 comprises the following four modules:

• Global Business Environment
• Strategic Marketing
• Strategic Direction
• Corporate Finance and Governance

As with the first stage, Stage 2 is assessed through three work-based assignments and a case study-based examination. It takes approximately 12 months to complete.

Stage 3

Stage 3 comprises two core modules:

• Leadership and Change
• Reputation and Relationship

This final stage is assessed through an integrated project assignment, one elective and a management challenge.

The Henley MBA incorporating the Henley Diploma in Management is delivered in IMI and is made up of: self-study, tutorial support and residential workshops supplemented with access to the Henley e-learning and e-library environments, online support, a mentor system and skills-based workshops.

The programme is flexible in that it recognises that busy managers and executives are unable, for work or personal reasons, to commit to a full-time course.
