Andrew McLaughlin is Director of the MSc Programme in Organisational Behaviour and leads courses on performance management, communication skills, negotiation and influencing skills, career development and team building.
He is a member of the Irish Institute of Training and Development and is a Master Practitioner and certified trainer/consultant of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP University California).
Andrew has recently worked on projects in both Russia and Lithuania. Before joining the IMI he was senior training officer with the Revenue Commissioners specialising in senior management training and strategic planning. Prior to that, Andrew was economics affairs attaché in the Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels. He also held operational posts in the Revenue Commissioners, Departments of Industry & Commerce and Defence.
Andrew has conducted workshops on management and public sector administration for the OECD in Hungary, Denmark, Turkey and Austria. He has also conducted public sector management workshops for the IPA in Zimbabwe, and has worked on several consultancy assignments in Eastern Europe and Pakistan. He has lectured extensively in the Irish Law Society, Blackhall Place, on the IPA MSc in Public Policy Analysis (Trinity) and for several years in the Institute of Taxation.
