John Cahill

John Cahill is the principal of John Cahill Consulting Services Limited (JCCS), which provides management consultancy services to a broad range of indigenous and multinational organisations in Ireland in both the public and private sectors. John specialises in the areas of Financial Strategy & Control, Project Management and HR Development. He has designed and delivered focused training programmes for clients in Ireland and overseas as well as interim management, coaching/ mentoring and non-executive director roles.

Prior to setting up JCCS in April 2001 John had over 25 years of experience in industry in Ireland and overseas and held senior management positions, with responsibility for financial control, project implementation and human resource management.

From 1990 to 2001 John was Finance Director for the Project Management Group (PM), Ireland’s largest engineering design, project management and software development organisation. During this period, PM increased from 150 to well over 1,000 personnel. John implemented an Approved Profit Share Scheme in which all PM employees can participate.

Prior to joining PM, he worked extensively in education as well as the manufacturing, car retail, construction, and energy industries.

John has particular strengths in explaining the synergies, which should prevail between major functional areas (Finance, Production, Sales/ Marketing, Purchasing, Human Resources and Information Technology) in large or small organisations. He is experienced in the special organisational pressures associated with major change projects and the implementation of appropriate planning and control techniques.
