Derek Fox

Derek is a specialist in the area of management and leadership with the IMI. Derek has over 15 years experience in a large multinational corporation and has worked in Europe, Asia, and America. 

Derek is currently undertaking his masters in Organisational Behaviour. Derek has completed the C. I. P. D (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) accredited Certificate in Training Practices (CTP) and John Townsend’s Master Trainer programme and is also a licensed NLP (Neuro–linguistic Programming) practitioner.

In addition to these academic qualifications Derek is also licensed and certified to administer and facilitate the following personal development instruments:

  • MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) Step I and Step II
  • EQi (Bar on Emotional Inteligence)
  • DiSC (Behaviour Instrument)

Derek is a member of the Irish Institute of Training and Development (IITD), the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) and the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA).

He joined the IMI from Intel Corporation where he held a number of positions including the Training and Developing Specialist, Quality Support Centre Manager, and European Failure Analysis Manager. Throughout his 15 years Derek has gained experience in global business strategy, company start ups, people management, employee development, and general management.

Derek has extensive experience in delivering and facilitating training across a wide range of management topics including; management & leadership core skills development, human dynamics, performance development, presentation skills, and structured problem solving.
