Are you interested in studying for a masters degree but looking for a flexible way to do it? Right now we know it is difficult to commit to a two or three year programme when many people do not know what they will be doing next year. Our innovative design means you can study for a masters degree while only committing to one year’s study at a time. More importantly you have complete choice over the direction of your masters degree because you choose the subject. Our Master of Business is a flexible masters degree like no other.

The Master of Business is based around a framework of ten IMI Diploma programmes - from generalist programmes such as the IMI Diploma in Management, to programmes that focus on specific areas of expertise, such as Business Finance or Strategy and Innovation. Each IMI Diploma programme is a nationally accredited, internationally recognised qualification in its own right – and also serves as a stepping stone to a full Masters award.
By completing any two IMI Diplomas and a Business Research Project, the candidate will earn 90 credits (the national standard for a Masters Qualification) and will be conferred the title ‘Master of Business’. These steps can be completed in as little as two years, or in up to five years - whichever suits the needs of the organisation and the individual best. The IMI Diplomas and Master of Business are accredited by University College Cork - National University of Ireland, Cork.
Enrolment is now open for a selection of IMI Diplomas schedule for Spring 2013 including the IMI Diploma in Strategy & Innovation and the IMI Diploma in Leadership. Early registration is encouraged as class numbers are limited.
IMI's Master of Business (MoB) is an innovatively designed framework tailored to accelerate your professional development in a uniquely flexible manner.
The MoB allows you to combine ‘credit’ for completing certain IMI courses and ultimately earn an internationally recognised, nationally accredited Master of Business qualification.
Each IMI Diploma is a nationally recognised qualification, accredited and awarded by University College Cork - National University of Ireland, Cork.
IMI Diplomas are academically equivalent to a Postgraduate Certificate (Level 9) Minor Award on the National Framework of Qualifications. Every time you successfully complete an IMI Diploma course you will earn 30 masters-level credits on the National Framework of Qualifications.
By completing any two IMI Diplomas and an IMI Business Project within a five year timeframe, you will earn 90 credits (the national standard for a Masters Qualification) and will be conferred the title ‘Master of Business’. The MoB is characterised by an intensely practical, real-world focus, and can be tailored around work and life demands to an extent unmatched by any other Masters Qualification.
In order be conferred with a Master of Business qualification, you must:

IMI Diplomas start each spring and autumn and run on a modular monthly basis (usually 3 classroom days per month) for approximately 6 to 7 months (typically 18 classroom days in total).
Over many years the IMI Diplomas have built a nationwide reputation for excellence, based on a combination of academic best-practice, an intensely practical focus, and an exceptional degree of participant interaction. Unlocking Organisational Power & Performance – Why emotional intelligence is such a critical competence
Hemingway defined courage as ‘grace under pressure’. The ability to remain calm under pressure is a core competency for leaders and front-line staff. I have worked extensively with hospital registrars for over a decade and, for medical professionals, emotional intelligence is absolutely critical. For example, if there is a medical emergency, the Registrar must remain Read On
Stop managing failure, give performance enhancing feedback…
Working with managers across a wide section of industries and sizes, one of the most common question I hear is: “What is the best way to deal with poor performers?” I now recognise this somewhat negative question as a human impulse that surfaces every time we feel threatened, uncertain or frustrated; our brains are just Read On

It is through a combination of excellence in strategic thinking and leadership impact that senior managers in Irish operations have continued to win new mandates from their global headquarters.
