IMI / 30% Club Scholarship 2016 – Congratulations to our two lucky winners…

The IMI in partnership with the 30% Club launched two scholarships in early 2016 which was offered to two lucky high potential female executives. These scholarships are fully-funded and valued at €10,000 each with the opportunity to access one of the IMI’s six month IMI Diploma programmes, which form part of a pathway in the IMI Master of Business Framework

Congratulations to our two lucky winners:

Louise Weste – Head of Enterprise Applications and Business Processes at PCH who was awarded the IMI Diploma in Strategy and Innovation.
Ann Marie O’Grady – Chief Executive at Leopardstown Park Hospital who was awarded the IMI Diploma in Leadership.

The 30% Club

The 30% Club is a global movement of international chairmen and CEOs who are committed to better gender balance at all levels of their organisations through voluntary actions. Business leadership is key to the mission of the 30% Club, taking the issue beyond a specialist diversity effort and into mainstream talent management.
The 30% Club approach – collaborative, concerted business-led efforts – can help accelerate progress towards better gender balance at all levels of organisations. The 30% Club does not believe mandatory quotas are the right approach. Instead, it supports a voluntary approach in order to realise meaningful, sustainable change. 30% Club efforts are complementary to individual company efforts and existing networking groups, adding to these through collaboration and the visible and voluntary commitment of senior business leaders.
The 30% Club runs a number of very specific and targeted initiatives that look to broaden the pipeline of women at all levels, from “schoolroom to boardroom”.

The 30% Club Scholarship

The 30% Club launched in Ireland in January 2015 and as part of its programme of activities is developing a cross-company, cross-sector mentoring programme that will complement existing schemes in the Irish market and within individual organisations. The scheme, which is being facilitated and managed by the Irish Management Institute, offers mid-career women mentoring focusing on their professional and personal development.
