Our premier programme is for senior executives who have responsibility, either individually or as a member of the top team, for determining the strategic direction of their organisation.
Participants will be able to demonstrate a high level of achievement in their career to date. Executive directors and senior line managers, including general managers and functional heads from medium and large companies, have made up the majority of attendees on this programme in recent years. The programme is aimed at high calibre individuals with 10 years experience from private, public, for profit and not for profit organisations. Participants will have a desire to enhance an already impressive track record through a hunger to learn and to gain exposure to new ideas and strategic perspectives.

Leading organisations in the present domestic and global business environment is a complex challenge. Our premier programme is designed to equip senior executives with the strategic skills and leadership understanding to position both themselves and their organisations for future success.
Delivered by an international faculty drawn from leading business schools across Europe and the US, the content of the programme reflects the best global business practice, delivered in a practical and focused way.
The key functions critical to senior management are covered: strategic leadership, finance, innovation and entrepreneurship, negotiations and managing change. A constant focus is developing your own leadership capacity by developing a detailed understanding of best practice augmented with personal coaching.
The programme is delivered in short modules so as to suit the demanding schedules of senior executives.
A key outcome of the programme is the opportunity to build your personal network of business leaders, as you work closely with your 2010 colleagues but also become part of the broader SEP alumni.
IMI executive development programmes are recognised worldwide for their innovative design, conceptual rigour and focus on real world application.
Experiential learning and self development go hand-in-hand with exploring and applying cutting-edge ideas and integrating them into everyday organisational practice.
Styles, approaches and teaching methods are varied throughout the programme to take account of the different learning styles of participants and to ensure the pace of the programme is appropriate.
There are no formal entry criteria. However, this is a demanding programme and suitability of candidates will be assessed at a pre-programme discussion with the programme director. The purpose of the discussion is to ensure a good fit between the candidate and the diploma programme. Several years’ work experience at management level will normally be expected.
