Make the right data decision for your organisation

“If you do not know how to ask the right question, you discover nothing” – J. Edward Deming

All around us we see the power and opportunities that data brings to our businesses. As managers we need to build our data savviness and personal data capabilities to stay relevant and effective. This requires us to step back from the urge to find instant technology solutions to having the confidence and fluency to elevate the data conversation to a strategic level in an inclusive and compelling way.

We need to ask some fundamental, business-oriented questions about what the business needs, what business value is and how data can be used to create business value.

This three-day programme gives you as a non-technical manager an understanding of the world of data and the confidence and skills you need to have for meaningful data conversations at all levels in your organisation. It provides you with a tool-set to frame data problems in a business context, articulate business value, understand the organisation’s information supply chain, communicate and collaborate with data experts and teams.

Who This Programme Is For

  • Managers who are not from a technical background but have to work in a team with data experts
  • Senior executives who are not data savvy or from a technical background, but whose role involves data-driven decision making

  • Begin a new way to talk about data in your organisation that involves owners, consumers and users in a collaborative and productive conversation.
  • Gain the capacity and perspective to break out of unproductive conversations on technology and investment and work confidently with data teams and experts.

  • Establish an articulated and compelling strategic intent around data that aligns with your business needs.
  • Gain a flexible and user friendly tool-set with which to integrate and analyse your business needs in relation to data.

  • For your organisation it offers the opportunity to build a collective, common understanding and approach to the harnessing of data.
