The Irish Management Institute has once again performed impressively in the Financial Times (FT) ranking for the provision of customised executive education. In doing so the IMI has retained it’s FT global ranking for customised programmes for a ninth consecutive year while the IMI remains the only business school ranked by the FT in Ireland for customised executive education.

The IMI is now ranked 20^th globally for Future Use, climbing eleven places. This represents a significant achievement for the IMI with Future Use a key determinant in companies opting to use the same programme or same school again for future customised programmes based on previous success. In this category, the IMI sits ahead of Oxford, Cambridge, UCLA and Wharton among others while sitting in 2^nd place in the UK and Ireland.

In the Follow Up category, which measures the quality of follow-up offered after the course finishes, the IMI now sits in 24^th place globally and 5^th in the UK and Ireland, ahead of Harvard, Wharton, Oxford and Cambridge.

Another category in which the IMI excels in this year’s rankings is that of Programme Design – 49^th position globally, ahead of Cambridge, Columbia, UCLA and Imperial College.

• IMI ranked 20^th globally, 8^th in Europe and 2^nd in UK and Ireland for Future Use (likelihood that clients would reuse the same school for other customised programmes in the future, and whether they would recommission the same programme) – ahead of Insead, Oxford, Cranfield, Cambridge, Wharton, UCLA

• IMI ranked 24^th globally, 12^th in Europe and 5^th in UK&I for Follow Up (the extent and effectiveness of follow-up offered after the course participants returned to their workplaces) – ahead of LBS, Oxford, Wharton, Cranfield, Cambridge, Harvard

• IMI ranked in top 50 globally for Programme Design – ahead of Cambridge, Columbia, UCLA, Imperial College

• IMI’s rank increased in 7 categories: Preparation, Programme Design, Teaching Methods, Faculty, Aims Achieved and Future Use

• IMI climbed 11 places in ranking for Future Use
