IMI/30% Club Scholarship Winners for 2021 Announced
Dervilla McCann and Stephanie Nolan named as scholarship winners.
Dervilla McCann and Stephanie Nolan have been announced as the two recipients for the IMI/30% Club Scholarship award in 2021. The scholarships, each valued at €10,000, allow the winners to complete IMI’s Professional Diploma in Leadership or Professional Diploma in Strategy and Innovation.
“It is a huge privilege to be awarded the 30% Club Scholarship for the Professional Diploma in Leadership with the Irish Management Institute,” said Dervilla McCann, Senior Project Manager at Lidl Ireland.
“I am really looking forward to beginning the Professional Diploma in Leadership and all of the learning that comes with it. I am eager to progress my career and become the best leader I can be. I believe that this scholarship will help me achieve this.”
IMI has been a long-standing partner with the 30% Club in Ireland and actively supports the IMI/30% Club Network Mentor Programme, while IMI’s ‘Taking the Lead – Women in Leadership’ programme continues to inspire women to increase their leadership impact.
“I am delighted and honoured to be awarded a scholarship for the Professional Diploma in Leadership with IMI”, said Stephanie Nolan of Dublin Simon Community.
“I truly believe this will help me become a more authentic, resilient leader in my career and enable me and those I lead to flourish. I look forward to the positive impact this highly regarded course will have on me and, as a result, Dublin Simon and wider society.”
The 30% Club launched in Ireland in January 2015. Part of its programme of activities has been the development of a cross-company, cross-sector mentoring programme that complements existing schemes in the Irish market and within individual organisations. The scheme, facilitated and managed by IMI, offers mid-career women mentoring focusing on their professional and personal development.
David Magee, Member of the 30% Club Steering Group and Head of Sales and Corporate Membership in IMI, said the scholarships have made a lasting impact.
“The awarding of the scholarships are increasingly becoming one of the highlights in IMI’s year, as it talks to so much of what we do here in equipping leaders to further develop personally and professionally. When you meet past scholarship winners, you see the transformation and impact the programme has made, both for themselves and their organisations. They become more confident, well-rounded leaders and, more importantly, realise they have the innate ability to lead at the highest levels.”
