Terms and Conditions :  Accepting a Place on an IMI Programmes and Fee Arrangements

  1. Payment is due upon your acceptance of an offer of a place on a programme. You will not be registered on the programme or have access to any of the learning materials until you have made the relevant payment. Invoices will be issued on receipt of a Purchase Order number.
  2. Registration will be confirmed on receipt of payment or Purchase Order number and your confirmation that your details are correct and that you agreed to the terms and conditions.
  3. Following any offer and acceptance of a place, any subsequent cancellation must be made in writing (letter or e-mail) to the Office of the Registrar, registrarsoffice@imi.ie
    1. 10% of the course fee will be charged on cancellations received up to 28 calendar days in advance of the programme start date.
    2. 50% of the course fee will be charged on cancellations received within 14 calendar days in advance or less of the programme start date.
  4. In exceptional circumstances, participants may request to defer taking up their place on a programme. A request for a pre-commencement deferral must be made in writing to the Office of the Registrar and must be made a minimum of three weeks before the commencement of the programme. Normally, it will not be possible to permit a pre-entry deferral after that time, but where it is permitted in an exceptional circumstances, a participant wishing to transfer to a later date will be billed a 10% fee plus any increase in the price of the course.
  5. A deferral which takes place after the commencement of the programme is subject to the same financial terms and conditions.
  6. All deferrals must be approved by the Registrar. If approved, an offeree can defer their participation on a programme to a later scheduled intake which should take place within a 12-month timeframe. The course fee charged remains valid and should be paid in accordance with the payment policy.
  7. Companies may substitute participants at any time prior to the start of the course without penalty, subject to the participant meeting the entry requirements and successfully completing their application and/or presenting for an interview where the standard application process involves successful completion of interview.
  8. Programmes scheduled are subject to numbers and may be cancelled or rescheduled if insufficient numbers register to attend. Where this occurs, you may elect to attend a later scheduled intake or receive a full refund of any fee paid. Where you elect to move to a later intake the programme rules and fees in place for that programme at the time of commencement apply.
  9. Participants wishing to withdraw from a programme after it has commenced must notify the Office of the Registrar in writing (letter or e-mail). The course fee charged remains valid and is not eligible for a refund in respect of the portion of the programme that has not been completed.
  10. Should you accept a place on a programme which is designed to be taught on a physical, face-to face basis, please note we will facilitate an application to view the class online where we receive 48 hours’ notice, but participants should understand that this will not be an optimal learning experience. Programmes are designed for specific provision modes and are best experienced when you participate in the mode for which a programme is designed.
  11. Programme/Venue Alterations – IMI reserves the right to alter the contents of any course or the programme director/specialists and/or the venue(s) due to circumstances beyond its control.
  12. Incidental Expenses – IMI is not responsible for covering travel, accommodation and incidental costs incurred by the participant.
