Sean Dorgan
Sean Dorgan was Chief Executive of IDA Ireland for nine years, leading it to continued success as one of the world’s leading inward investment agencies. In his earlier career, he was Secretary-General of two Government Departments and Chief Executive of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. He was a board member of the DIT Foundation and of CRANN, Ireland's leading nanoscience institute, based in Trinity College, Dublin. Sean is also formerly Chairman of the Governing Body of DIT, Tesco Ireland, Ulster Bank Group and IMI. In his time at IMI, Sean oversaw the completion of IMI’s merger with UCC. He was elected as a member of Royal Irish Academy in 2010.
Sean Dorgan is non-executive director of a number of companies including FBD Holdings plc and the Irish Cancer Society. He has also served as Chairman of the Governing Body of DIT, of Ulster Bank Group, of Tesco Ireland and of various other boards. In his earlier career, he was Secretary-General of two Government Departments, Chief Executive of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI) and CEO of IDA Ireland.
