Andrew McLaughlin
Andrew McLaughlin is programme director of the IMI Diploma in Executive Coaching. He is an experienced executive coach who works with national and multi-national companies.
He leads other courses on emotional intelligence, performance management, communication skills, negotiation and influencing skills, interviewing skills and leadership. Andrew is a Master Practitioner and certified trainer/ consultant of Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP University, Santa Cruz, California). Andrew has worked with a large range of companies, both here in Ireland and around the world. Before joining the IMI, he was Senior Training Officer with the Revenue Commissioners.
Andrew was economics affairs attaché in the Ireland’s Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels. He held operational posts in the Revenue Commissioners, Departments of Industry and Commerce and Defence. Andrew has conducted workshops on management and public sector administration for the OECD and EU in Hungary, Denmark, Türkiye and Austria. He has also conducted public sector management workshops for the IPA in Zimbabwe and has worked on several consultancy assignments in Eastern Europe, mainly in Russia and in Pakistan.
He has lectured extensively in the Irish Law Society on the IPA MSc in Public Policy Analysis (Trinity) and for several years in the Institute of Taxation.
