Course Overview

Culture shows up in the thousands of small decisions people make every day. Which risks they raise, which ideas they share, what they prioritise when nobody is watching. Strategy might set the direction, but culture determines whether anything really changes.

How Organisations Really Work is a Level 9, 5 ECTS micro-credential for leaders who need culture to support strategy, not fight it. Drawing on organisational psychology and practical OD tools, this module helps you see what’s really shaping behaviour in your organisation – and how to work with the levers that matter: leadership signals, stories, systems, rituals and informal power.

You’ll map your current culture, identify the patterns that are helping or hindering performance, and design realistic experiments to nudge behaviour in a better direction.

*IMI micro-credentials are drawn from our Professional Diploma pathways. This means that when you attend a micro-credential, you may be learning alongside participants who are completing the full diploma.

You’ll take part in the same high-quality learning experience, with the added benefit of joining a broader group of professionals at different stages of their development journey.
