Course Overview

For leaders who need behaviour to change.

Strategies, structures and systems can all look right on paper, but if people don’t actually behave differently, nothing really changes. Most leadership programmes focus on the individual leader, while most change programmes focus on projects and plans. Organisational behaviour sits in the middle: the patterns of motivation, influence and decision-making that determine what really happens day to day.

The Professional Diploma in Organisational Behaviour is a postgraduate-level, UCC-awarded programme (NFQ Level 9, 30 ECTS) built specifically for experienced managers and leaders. It takes the depth of organisational psychology and turns it into a practical toolkit for shaping how people think, decide and work together.

Over 18 intensive days spread across six months on the IMI Campus in Dublin, you’ll work on live challenges from your own organisation. You’ll use negotiation simulations, psychometric tools, decision-making frameworks and organisational development models to diagnose what’s really going on and design interventions that actually stick.

You’ll work alongside a senior peer group on live challenges – engagement, performance, cross-functional collaboration, strategic initiatives that keep stalling and test new approaches in between modules. You’ll leave able to consciously design and shift behaviours, culture and decision-making in your organisation.

*As part of your Professional Diploma, some modules may also be available as standalone IMI micro-credentials. This means you may be joined on certain days by participants who are completing that specific micro-credential rather than the full diploma.

Remember: most organisations don’t fail for lack of strategy. They struggle because day-to-day behaviour doesn’t change, where decisions drag, silos persist, initiatives stall the moment the launch buzz fades.

This diploma is built for leaders who own that problem.
