Course Overview

Procurement is under growing pressure to do more than control cost. Today’s procurement professionals are expected to improve supplier resilience, accelerate decision-making, strengthen governance, and create strategic value across the organisation.

This two-day programme equips procurement professionals to use AI safely and strategically in real procurement contexts. Through practical application, participants will explore how AI can support better decisions across sourcing, supplier management, contract review, spend analysis, forecasting, and workflow redesign.

The emphasis is not on theory. It is on helping procurement leaders understand where AI creates measurable value, where the risks lie, and how to use these tools with confidence in day-to-day work, e.g. reducing cost, strengthening supplier risk control, improving negotiation leverage, redesigning workflows, and applying AI in real operational contexts.

Participants will build hands-on capability in prompting, improving AI output quality, critically evaluating outputs, and applying AI through enterprise tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot. They will also be introduced to agentic AI in a practical M365 context, helping them understand when a direct AI interaction is enough and when a repeatable workflow or agent-based approach is more appropriate.

Participants are asked to bring a laptop along as this is a practical hands-on programme and you will be experimenting with multiple tools in real time.

By the end of the programme, participants will leave with a clear, actionable 90-day AI implementation plan tailored to their own organisation, alongside a stronger understanding of governance, supplier exposure, and regulatory considerations including the EU AI Act.
