Jason Smyth, MBE
Jason Smyth is one of the most iconic figures in Irish sport and the fastest Paralympian in history. Over an extraordinary 18-year career, he remained unbeaten, winning 21 gold medals in the 100m and 200m events, including six Paralympic golds. Diagnosed with a visual impairment from a young age, Jason’s journey is a powerful testament to resilience, focus, and high performance. Honoured with an MBE in 2022, Jason now serves as Strategy Manager at Paralympics Ireland, where he helps shape the future of para sport.
