Talent Forum 4: Future Proofing the Leadership Pipeline

Concerns over talent attraction and retention remain high on the agendas of HR Directors and CEOs. In particular, concerns abound on ensuring adequate pipelines of leadership talent for the organisation exist.

In the upcoming Talent Forum session, Prof. Anthony McDonnell will pull apart and challenge your thinking around talent management and whether leadership talent is really in short supply. Key themes that will be covered in this session include whether we are approaching talent identification in the right way in terms of how the positions we focus upon and the challenge of disentangling performance from potential.

Anthony McDonnell (PhD, BBS, MCIPD) is Professor of Human Resource Management, Head of the Department of Management and Marketing and Co-Director of the HR Research Centre at the Cork University Business School. He is also (Co)Editor-in-Chief of the world leading Human Resource Management Journal. His research on HRM in MNCs and talent management has been published in across many of the most important international management and HRM journals.
